Airbus is an airplane manufacturing unit that manufactures more than half of the world’s jet aircrafts. This unit is a subsidiary of EADS, a European based company. Airbus is headquartered in Toulouse, France. The manufacturing and the design activity of the company is well spread all across Europe and China. There are 16 manufacturing sites of the airbus in the European continent and is spread across the four EU countries, namely Spain, United Kingdom, Germany and France. The company employs around 57,000 people across the European continent. The final production and the assembly operations takes place in Hamburg, Toulouse, Seville and Tianjin that are located in Germany, France, Spain and china respectively. Airbus started its production operation in Tianjin in the year 2009. The company has also got subsidiaries in places like the United States, Japan and China. Airbus has the unique distinction of manufacturing the first fly by wire airline that is commercially viable.
